Disabled Hermosa Beach veteran dies in court fighting foreclosure

This entry describes media coverage of litigation advocacy. It does not state or imply a case outcome.

Easy Reader News reported on the death of Larry Delassus, a 62-year-old disabled veteran from Hermosa Beach who died in court on December 19, 2012, while fighting a Wells Fargo foreclosure that advocates say was caused by a bank error. Wells Fargo allegedly assigned his neighbor’s assessor parcel number to his account, then declared his loan in default and sold his condominium.

Anthony W. Trujillo of Trujillo & Winnick LLP served as Delassus’s attorney and close friend, and discovered the bank’s error. This coverage reflects media-covered advocacy on behalf of Mr. Delassus and his estate, and does not describe or imply any litigation outcome.
